Casual Paramedic (ACP)

The City of Leduc is currently seeking qualified Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP) to join our team.  Leduc Fire Service (LFS) is an integrated fire department that provides service excellence in fire, medical and rescue operations.

The successful candidates will be able to work the shifts they are able, as well as fulfill the standby requirements as outlined in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement and LFS Policy.

Our ideal candidate will be a fully-trained and certified ACP; Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and public relations skills and the following emergency services certifications and training are required:

• Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics as a Paramedic (ACP);
• Current Liability Insurance
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS);(preferred)
• Valid Alberta Class 4 driver’s license
• Driver’s license must have less than seven demerits;
• Minimum Grade 12 education or recognized equivalent; and,
• Successful applicants will become member of IAFF Local 4739

Successful candidates will be required to provide a current criminal record check with the vulnerable sector that is satisfactory to the City of Leduc.  Employment is conditional on the successful completion of the pre-employment drug test.  All Documentation is required to be presented at the interview stage.
